INOVAGAIA has just written a new chapter in its support for national entrepreneurship with the conclusion of the first edition of Scale Up With Us. Over the course of nine intensive weeks, this pioneering acceleration programme has prepared a select group of start-ups for the challenges of global scaling.

Whilst walking the ‘Camino de Santiago’ in March 2018, ideas began to take shape. The heavy rain – which fell practically every day – caught the attention of the then Captain Socks. And that’s how this brand came about.

With business experience dating back to 1986, whilst I was still a student, I founded Pampilar in 1992. Pampilar is a company wholly owned by Portuguese capital, and specialises in the production of single-use paper products, such as napkins, tissues, kitchen rolls and toilet paper, for domestic use. In addition to the Pampilar brand, the company manufactures private-label products for major retailers such as Continente, Lidl, Intermarché and Auchan.

INOVAGAIA returned to Lisbon for four intense days at Web Summit 2025. Four days of total immersion in innovation, continuous learning, collecting inspiration, and fostering connections that drive the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We now return to Gaia with our luggage full of new insights, ideas, and contacts that strengthen the path we have been building over the past years. The knowledge gained and the connections made are the energy that propels us to continue empowering, accelerating, and soaring higher and higher.

The workshop demonstrated how mental health and innovation go hand in hand, creating balanced, productive and creative working environments.

INOVAGAIA attended the QSP Summit 2025, one of Europe’s most prestigious conferences in the fields of management, marketing and innovation. As part of a joint delegation with Gaiurb, Águas de Gaia and Gaia Municipal Council, it shared a stand that highlighted the cooperation and strategic vision of the four organisations.
